The Part-Time Program Support position at ChildNet Youth and Family Services is designed for individuals passionate about working with children. This role involves providing support within the Relative Home Assessment Services (RHAS) Program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children while assisting with various administrative and childcare tasks. The position typically requires up to 15 hours of work per week, with some flexibility for night and weekend shifts.

  • Complete proper registration, check-in/check-out of children & parents, both in person and via virtual platform(s).
  • Provide a friendly atmosphere for parents and children.
  • Engage in constant interaction with children, initiating games and arts & crafts projects while ensuring their safety.
  • Maintain a calm atmosphere and remain organized while interacting with children.
  • Complete general tidying duties after children depart, such as cleaning and sanitizing childcare toys.
  • Maintain a working area free of sharp or harmful objects, utilizing strong safety skills.
  • Assist children to the restroom as necessary.
  • Bottle-feed babies and assist in snack preparation/nutrition needs of older children in accordance with parental direction.
  • Communicate information regarding children to parents/guardians/caregivers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to parents/guardians/caregivers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Provide clerical assistance and support to the RHAS Program.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
  • Valid Child/Infant CPR/First Aid training certificate or willingness to become certified upon hire.
  • 9 - 12 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) or 6 - 12 months paid work experience in an ECE environment, or at least 2 years of work experience caring for children.
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Schedule flexibility for night or weekend shifts.
  • Experience in a childcare environment.
