About The Position

The RFID Lab at Auburn University is looking for motivated, hard-working, and detail oriented students from various disciplines to perform RFID testing and analysis. The position involves performing data collection and data analysis to investigate the performance of large scale RFID deployments, creating reports for data presentation and customer communication, and operating, maintaining, and trouble-shooting RF test equipment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Technically capable with ability to quickly become familiar with hardware, software, processes and new technologies is a plus
  • Basic Knowledge of RF systems and computer networks is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with industry partners to identify testing needs, support product line integration and RFID data collection and analysis
  • Operate, maintain and trouble-shoot RF test equipment including diagnostic testing, RFID encoding and tagging and audit processes and item files
  • In lab testing with RFID readers to determine the quality and readability of tag types on various products
  • Partner with Auburn University campus partners on RFID solutions and services
