We’re seeking an RFID Applications Engineer Co-Op to join our business in North America during the Fall of 2026. You will be responsible for providing support for product engineers working on the development of RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems operating in the HF and UHF bands. You are expected to work in support of product development engineers. The work environment will be primarily an office or application lab. You will use various automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems. Work activities require an understanding of engineering disciplines and scientific processes sufficient to support testing, data collection, data organization, and reporting. Our co-op program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical.
  • Must be willing to join during at least two semesters, including one non-summer term
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Sponsorship is not available now or in the future
  • Ability to travel 10 - 20 percent of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel or Google Equivalent
  • General familiarity with electronic systems and introductory programming background is preferred
  • Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, etc.
  • Volunteerism or similar activities

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with engineers and influencing product development and customer use case decisions
  • Obtaining deep knowledge of RFID technology which can be a critical link for enabling the Internet of Things, Blockchain and Omni-Channel fulfillment
  • Working as part of a technical team environment, with professionals trained on testing methods, critical thinking, data analysis and reporting in spreadsheets, and generating technical and customer-facing reports
