About the position

The RFIC/Module Design Engineer position at Skyworks involves contributing to the design of wireless infrastructure products, specifically focusing on sub 12 GHz chip/module level designs. The role emphasizes collaboration in a fast-paced environment, requiring a strong background in electromagnetic modeling and high-volume production experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate product level specs into circuit block level performance specs, circuit architecture & design
• Manage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, yield, testability, and cost
• Transistor and/or Module level RF circuit design to meet product requirements
• IC and/or Module Layout floorplan to optimize performance and post layout EM simulations results
• Module level RF tuning

Requirements

• Master's in electrical engineering and 6 years of related experience
• Hands-on Design experience of Linear and non-linear RF mid and high-Power Amplifiers
• Hands-on Design experience of passive circuits such as matching networks, filters, harmonic terminations and baluns
• Hands-on Design experience of Multiplayer RF modules
• Familiar with high isolation and high linearity RF switches
• IC design experience in GaAs, SiGe, SOI, pHEMT, or GaN using Cadence Virtuoso and/or Keysight ADS
• Familiar with ESD protection strategies
• Comfortable with at least one major EM tool for full IC + module level simulation (Momentum, EMX, HFSS, etc.)
• Basic understanding of digital communications, device physics and signal processing
• Good communication skills
