Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Active IAT II Certification
  • US Citizen
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wireless mobility services or a related field, with a focus on government or military environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNIC Instruction 2000.2C and other relevant policies governing the management of government-owned wireless devices.
  • Proficient in analyzing and evaluating wireless service costs and usage.
  • Strong understanding of mobile device management, including iOS configuration and compliance tracking.
  • Knowledge of Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and Equipment Line Item Numbers (ELINs) related to wireless services and devices.
  • Experience managing vendor-specific device accounts and understanding various vendor plans and services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with Region Wireless Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using G2 portals and other relevant software tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances.
  • Willingness to travel as required for training and coordination with regional wireless managers.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in wireless technology or project management are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to CNIC Instruction 2000.2C regarding the management and use of government-owned wireless devices by Commander Navy Installations Command personnel.
  • Implement best practices and economical solutions to meet government audit and accountability requirements related to wireless management.
  • Evaluate and analyze the costs associated with Headquarters and Regional wireless requirements.
  • Monitor wireless device usage and ensure compliance with CNIC objectives for wireless management.
  • Utilize and post guidance and monthly regional billing statements to the G2 portal.
  • Track iOS version configuration updates and compliance for CNIC users.
  • Provide technical guidance, analysis, processing, and scheduling of Task Orders to Region Wireless Managers.
  • Assist in the determination and acquisition of appropriate services /assets, scheduling dates, and submission deadlines in compliance with CNIC standards.
  • Understand and manage Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and Equipment Line Item Numbers (ELINs) associated with contracted devices and services.
  • Track the G2 portal for Region Wireless Managers' submission of required reports and wireless device inventory.
  • Manage various vendor-specific device account login parameters to facilitate device changes, reset voicemail, rename user devices, and correlate billing.
  • Stay informed about cellphone and smartphone vendor plans for various vendor task orders.
  • Prepare device equipment user phone listings in support of new competitions and recompete of expiring contracts.
  • Be familiar with device porting and transfer processes, as well as tracking and shipment of devices to regional wireless managers outside of HQ CNIC.
  • Understand the process to activate international voice and data services in a pooling plan environment.
  • Track and log daily actions of end users' requests and requirements to ensure timely responses and resolutions.
