About The Position

Test, diagnose and repair complex ground-based air traffic management products including DME, VOR, TACAN and ILS systems to support both production and customer repairs.

Requirements

• 5+ years electronics experience (RF experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Manual test of products and PCBAs utilizing test procedures and schematic documents
• Use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power units, power sensors, dummy loads, to support the diagnosis of faults down to component level.
• Soldering to IPC-610 Standards.
• Training of lower-level staff in the diagnosis and repair of complex PCBAs including Radio Frequency technology.
• Tuning of pots / filters to align Radio Frequency signals on Indra Air Traffic Products.
• Use of copper shims in the tuning of power amplifiers.
• Recognize persistent repetitive faults and highlight these to management. Also liaise with engineering and collaborate to implement design solutions to such failures.
• Accurately record the labor and material expense of each product/component repair and ensure cost remain within budget.
• Identify products and components that are classified as beyond economic repair and highlight these to management; complete the associated disposal process.
• Complete repair reports for internal records and customer reports.
• Support customer support with technical questions concerning customer product issues and repairs.
• Provide other services to operations as and when required.
• Comply with the INDRA standards and ethics, IAT health, and safety and ESD protocols.
