Raytheon offers an exciting opportunity for an RF Test Systems Engineer II to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate in McKinney, Texas. TEE is a multi-discipline organization responsible for contributing to the development of test solutions for all Raytheon products. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products including both lab engineering and factory production test systems. This position is 100% ONSITE in McKinney, Texas.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with developing and deploying test software solutions in C#, CVI, C, C++, and/or MATLAB, using code review tools.
  • Experience automating RF test equipment control (e.g. vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience creating test plans and sequences for RF measurements using NI Test Stand or MATLAB.
  • U.S. Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience executing projects through the software development life cycle, while managing budgets and timelines.
  • Experience with various programming languages, operating systems, system monitoring tools, and communication protocols.
  • Collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Sourcetree, etc.).
  • Experience with lab instruments such as O-scopes, network analyzers, signal generators and power meters.

Responsibilities

  • Design development, integration and validation of test hardware and software solutions for multiple production programs.
  • Work with hardware, software, and program engineers to design and develop test software solutions for production testing.
  • Implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Implement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and execution of design activities with sound engineering process discipline and leadership.
  • Effectively communicate technical information in formal design review settings.
  • Provide hands-on support to product testing within an engineering test environment.
  • Share knowledge and provide mentoring to other engineers on the team.
  • Support the Section Manager in the execution of the RF Technologies department goals.
