The Effector RF Design Antenna & Radome team at Raytheon is seeking a talented Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The candidate will be responsible for leading and shaping the design and implementation of antenna, radome, and/or radar cross section (RCS) ranges and/or chambers within the company. The selected candidate will also be expected to lead project teams, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and work with the Engineering organization to establish technology roadmaps, enable modernization, and contribute to general innovation. In addition, the candidate will work with government personnel and programs, and define and refine requirements to validate range and chamber compliance. The candidate will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training to other employees across the business within the candidate’s areas of expertise. This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
  • Experience in testing and measurement of RF products such as antennas, including the operation of a vector network analyzer.
  • Experience with interpreting and accurately following technical documents such as prints, schematics, sketches, and both verbal and written instructions, including test procedures.
  • Experience with documenting observations and issues identified during testing and troubleshooting processes.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Responsibilities

  • Operate an Antenna Measurement Range, including test execution, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of antenna range test results against conformance of specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop test plans for execution on the antenna range.
  • Support integration, testing, and validation processes.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and present findings for team members.
