About The Position

Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in RF testing
  • Expertise in Python for test automation and instrument control. Linux.
  • Strong grasp of core wireless concepts and RF propagation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an (RF focus).
  • Experience with wireless standards (5G NR, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth).
  • Familiarity with revision control systems (Git/Gerrit), continuous integration tools, and data analysis platforms such as Splunk.
  • Knowledge of RF performance metrics (EVM, ACLR, Sensitivity, NF, IP3).
  • Hands-on experience with RF bench instruments (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, VNAs, Oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

  • Test Solution Development: Develop, validate, and implement automated RF test solutions for the characterization of RF software and hardware.
  • Automation: Design and maintain Python-based test frameworks to control RF instruments (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers) and automate data collection in a Linux environment.
  • HW/SW Integration: Drive hardware-software integration efforts, debugging issues across the stack (firmware, driver, and hardware levels).
  • Independent Execution: Act as a self-starter to independently design, create, and execute specific experiments and test scenarios to address complex validation challenges.
  • Debugging: Troubleshoot complex RF test setups and device-under-test (DUT) failures; isolate issues between test equipment, load boards, and silicon.
  • Collaboration: Interface with RF Systems, FPGA design engineers, and Software teams to define test requirements and provide feedback on design-for-test (DFT) features.
  • Documentation: Create detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to track validation progress and coverage.

Benefits

  • We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
