About The Position

We are seeking a skilled RF Technician</b> for a 12 month onsite</b> opportunity with our Endurance Client,</b> to support and maintain critical radio frequency (RF) communication systems that enable public safety, city services, and smart city initiatives. This role involves hands -on work with land mobile radio (LMR), wireless networks, and related technologies to ensure reliable and secure communications across city departments.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless communication standards (e.g., LTE, 5G).
• Proficiency with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with FCC regulations and spectrum licensing processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team coordination.
• Experience with RF design and simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, HFSS).
• Knowledge of mapping software (e.g., Atoll, MapInfo).
• Basic hands -on experience with LAN installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting (switches, routers, etc.).
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in municipal or public safety RF systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

• CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in municipal or public safety communications.
• Familiarity with smart city technologies and integration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain RF systems including LMR, public safety networks, and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, conduct signal tests, analyze network performance, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair RF hardware such as transmitters, receivers, and antennas.
• Ensure RF systems meet regulatory standards and maintain secure communication channels.
• Work closely with city departments, external agencies, and vendors to support communication projects.
