Lockheed Martin is seeking an RF Systems Engineer with RF design, analysis, and test experience. What You Will Be Doing The RF Systems Engineer will generate modeling/simulations for advanced control systems, build and test prototype hardware in the lab, and collaborate with a larger team for flight hardware configurations. Specific duties may include assisting engineers with antenna modeling, RF System modeling and requirements development. The individual will work closely with systems and design engineers to identify key RF hardware requirements which meet mission needs and will construct models for simulation. The RF Systems Engineer must be capable of utilizing a wide range of test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers. Experience with MATLAB modeling is required. Basic Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on mm Wave antenna arrays or RF circuit design. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, therefore you must be a US Citizen. 3 + years of hands on experience with ANSYS HFSS and Keysight ADS for full wave and circuit level modeling of mm Wave structures. Proven ability to design, fabricate, and test hardware up to 60 GHz (0402 soldering, V-band connector assembly, VNA, spectrum/signal analyzer, noise figure, and RCS measurements). Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Python (or equivalent) for processing multidimensional complex data, automating beam steering algorithms, and generating technical reports/presentations. Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring junior engineers (lab training, grad assistant, teaching labs). Record of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations in the mm Wave/antenna domain (e.g., IEEE IWAT, AP S, SoutheastCon). Experience with software defined radio (SDR) platforms Desired skills Knowledge of link budget, system level RF analysis, and automated generation of PowerPoint or technical documentation via MATLAB scripts. Proficiency in C/C++ (or C#) for low level firmware/driver development of RF transceivers. Ability to work cross functionally with radar, IR, and communications teams to integrate antenna subsystems into mission critical prototypes. Strong written communication skills (LaTeX) and the ability to produce clear, concise technical reports for both classified and unclassified audiences. Active Secret Clearance.
