The RF Technician supports USASMDC Research and Technology Directorate’s Multidomain Technologies Branch (MDTBr). Work on a RF antenna fixed site to support the maintenance and operations of RF assets. Work with engineers and technicians to support ongoing RF operations and experiments. Responsibilities Perform complex setup and calibration of high-powered antennas located on fixed site. Service RF antennas to meet specified requirements. Ability to manually utilize all test equipment (i.e., VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, function generator, and oscilloscope). Complete test data sheets and detailed failure reports Work from test procedures, assembly drawings, parts lists, and TDRs. Ensure accuracy and quality of work in a fast-paced environment. Ensure personnel safety procedures are always followed and/or highlight and raise concern to the appropriate personnel if safety hazards are found. May provide work training for junior level technicians. Maintain close security and protect the company’s assets from damage, including test equipment and tools. A solid understanding of the RF hardware requirements. Hands on experience on RF antennas and be familiar with their alignment, calibration, and operational requirements. Must be able to make independent judgment and be detailed oriented. All other duties assigned.
