About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a RADAR/RF missile & munition lead Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced military technologies. This role involves working on multimodal/multifunction seekers and participating in technology maturation efforts across various stages of product development. The successful candidate will be a key technical contributor, collaborating with engineering teams to enhance knowledge and improve processes while supporting a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with a Secret clearance eligible for Top Secret/SCI/SAP/SAR clearance.
• Possess a BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Understanding and background in RF systems architecture, modeling, design, and test for active and passive RF seeker/sensor systems.
• Experience in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis.
• Experience leading technical teams.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in Physics, EE, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with RF receivers and transmitters architectures.
• Basic knowledge of sensing modalities across the electromagnetic spectrum including Doppler radar, SAR, HRR, lidar, and hyperspectral sensing.
• Experience with machine learning/ATR related concepts/techniques.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key technical contributor on the integrated product team in the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line.
• Develop RADAR/RF seekers for missile/munition applications.
• Architect subsystem solutions that include a combination of COTS and internally developed components.
• Drive collaborative value creation and support engineering changes, lessons learned, and product/process improvements.
• Participate in technology maturation efforts from strategic initiatives to full rate production systems.
