About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a Microwave Engineering Assistant V on the F35 Technical Operations team. This position will support a Confidential Factory in Nashua, NH (Electronic Systems Headquarters) after necessary clearances have been obtained Second Shift comes with a +10% Salary Differential! This is a second shift position offering a flexible work schedule selecting from one of the following: 9/80 with every other Friday off! OR a regular 5/40 work week Note: Second Shift typically starts at 3:30pm, but some flexibility is available. This Position Will Include The Following Duties Support manufacturing with all aspects of the test processes of RF/Microwave Module hardware and their lower-level assemblies. Provide test failure debug, resolution, and appropriate direction to operations personnel to perform necessary rework. Generate rework direction in the Paperless Manufacturing Execution System (MES) based on debug findings. Interface with Engineering and other supporting groups to drive defect resolution to root cause. Support test equipment maintenance, including Test Solutions and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment. Assist in the generation and implementation of improvements in test design, processes, and methodologies to reduce cost and increase throughput. Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation associated with the design and build of digital and RF electronic warfare products. Support test equipment validation and movement as required to support factory needs. Provide training / support to manufacturing personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a technical field that is similar and a minimum of 2 or more years of related work experience that includes experience in a test engineering capacity.
  • Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing and test engineering if non-degreed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well versed with computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of RF and digital instrumentations (i.e. network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal sources)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF and digital test equipment (i.e. network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal sources, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Experience and knowledge of circuit cards and components and basic electrical systems. Experience with debugging or troubleshooting both CCA and system hardware.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with Paperless manufacturing execution system.
  • Active Secret Clearance
