About The Position

The GNSS SoC Location Group is seeking a highly skilled RF/HW Test Engineer on a contract basis to support time-sensitive RF and hardware platform testing across early prototypes and production form factors. This role focuses on hands-on hardware validation in a laboratory environment and requires an engineer who can work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams and global time zones. The ideal candidate brings strong experience testing mobile device prototypes in fast-paced environments. This is a contract role and is not eligible for C2C or W2 referral candidates. What you will be doing as a RF/HW Test Engineer…

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience testing mobile devices
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, NI power instruments, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and vector/network analyzers
  • Familiarity with RF measurements including P1dB, IIP, noise figure (NF), and S-parameters
  • Basic understanding of RF receiver architecture and system blocks
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and PCB layouts
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of Python for test automation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to support evening or on-call requests as needed

Responsibilities

  • Support new hardware and board bring-up activities, including execution and debugging of hardware validation tests
  • Isolate and identify root causes of hardware and schematic-related issues; collaborate closely with RF, software, and test/tools teams
  • Perform power measurement testing on hardware boards, including programming and monitoring power rails through schematic inspection
  • Analyze test data, generate reports, and clearly document findings and issues
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate test suites and accelerate test and debug cycles
  • Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced development environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity, safety, and quality
