About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment. Mini-Circuits’ sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive web site. Position Summary: The Pipeline Program will take you on an experiential learning journey where you get a front row seat and hands-on exposure to the fundamentals of the radio frequency (RF) world. Your 18-month journey begins with seven months in Engineering Test, then four months of shadowing experts in Manufacturing Control, Failure Analysis, and Engineering Project Management. The last rotation lasts seven months as an Applications Engineer. Your final destination is discovered along the way as you and your mentor identify your unique capabilities and passion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with Ishihara test for color blindness or have an awareness of any color-vision deficiency and be able to work accordingly.
  • MS Office.
  • Video Conferencing.

Responsibilities

  • Test components electrically in accordance with production, catalog specs and customer specs using state-of-the-art test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and noise figure analyzers.
  • Troubleshooting RF measurement setups to resolve issues including verifying test setup, test methods based on input from applications, design, and failure analysis engineers.
  • Initiating setups for testing, including calibration of devices and test equipment used for testing.
  • Assist in overseeing completion of test jobs such as Htol Life Test Burn-in as assigned by Engineering Test supervisor /mgr.
  • Record and verify accuracy of test data.
  • Summarize test results and generate written reports.
  • MCL quality control, procedures, and production.
  • AS9100/Internal Audit.
  • Overview of Pre-encap/Final Inspection.
  • Defect analysis.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of job functions of Manufacturing.
  • Overview of MCL Products and complete Product Cycle.
  • Customer vs Production Order Review.
  • Participation in in Bi-Weekly Production Review meetings.
  • Engineering Project Management.
  • Respond to customers’ technical questions regarding Mini-Circuits products.
  • Provide preliminary evaluation of customers’ requests for new products and work with Marketing and Engineering to satisfy customer’s needs.
  • Visit customers to promote new products and discuss technical issues.
  • Coordinate opportunities with sales reps and customers.
  • Assist in defining and implementing department goals.
  • Collaborate in preparation of application notes.
  • Review technical documents in support of other Mini-Circuits departments.
  • Prepare spec sheets and technical documents for new and revised special models.
