About The Position

The RF Engineer will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for the design, development, and testing of radio frequency (RF) circuits and systems. This role requires a hands-on technical expert who can contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to production. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and communication systems. They will be responsible for ensuring that all RF designs meet specified performance, compliance, and reliability requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in RF hardware design and development.
  • Proven experience with the design and testing of RF circuits and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of RF principles, transmission lines, impedance matching, and S-parameters.
  • Hands-on experience with RF circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Cadence Allegro, Ansys HFSS).
  • Proficiency with RF lab equipment, including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers (VNAs), signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with various wireless communication standards (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with PCB design tools and practices, with a focus on high-frequency layout.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF circuits, including amplifiers, filters, mixers, and oscillators for wireless communication systems.
  • Perform RF circuit simulation and layout using industry-standard tools.
  • Conduct antenna design, selection, and integration into product enclosures.
  • Ensure all designs comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE).
  • Integrate RF components and sub-systems with other hardware, including PCBs and embedded systems.
  • Perform hands-on testing and characterization of RF circuits and systems using specialized lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF hardware issues, including signal integrity and performance problems.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans and procedures for RF validation.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, design files, and test reports.
  • Document test procedures, results, and analysis for design validation.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of RF components and test equipment.
