About The Position

Providing spectrum management support for domestic and international coordination and certification of spectrum availability for launch and orbiting missions. Analyze the potential interference from U.S. federal commercial and foreign satellites based on orbital positions. Perform analysis on Satellite Coordination applications. Familiar and experienced with the Spectrum Planning Subcommittee (SPS) function. Maintain a continuing appraisal of the current and future needs of the various radio services and make recommendations to the IRAC Provide direct support and SME to the Government by assisting in identifying and planning the spectrum needs. The candidate will be responsible for tracking, assessing, and reporting any RF spectrum regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA) Participate and establish technical rules and procedures for spectrum sharing & spectrum coordination with federal agencies and international administrations Experience with RF Certification/ ITU/IRACNET. Establish technical parameters and standards governing the use of each frequency band or specific service, if applicable Must have: Hands-on experience working with Visualyse, Spectrum XI and Matlab.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ITU-R Recommendations and Reports
  • Experience in coordination with Federal Agencies (DoD, NOAA, DoC, NASA)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis
  • Ability to use RF engineering tools (e.g., Visualyse) , Spectrum X1 and MATLAB
  • Experience with RF Certification/ ITU/IRACNET.
  • Possess excellent written & communications skills in English
  • B.S or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-10 years’ experience in satellite & cellular telecommunications’ industry.
  • US Citizen
  • Hands-on experience working with Visualyse, Spectrum XI and Matlab.
