About The Position

SAIC is seeking a professional RF Engineer responsible for the development and
sustainment of mission-critical airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and
countermeasure designs. The engineer will apply professional knowledge and
skills to a variety of projects involving advanced RF systems and airborne
avionics. This role is focused on solving complex engineering challenges by
designing, integrating and testing advanced EW systems under the guidance of
senior technical staff.

As a key contributor to the PMA-272 portfolio, the engineering efforts will
directly enhance the capabilities of fleet assets, ensuring the operational
effectiveness and strategic protection of our nation’s aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate of electronic warfare systems, subsystems, and components for airborne platforms.
• Execute research and development programs related to RF systems and Electronic Countermeasures by applying established engineering principles and methods.
• Analyze system requirements, threat data, and platform specifications to create innovative technical solutions and robust system architectures.
• Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications; determine critical project requirements, including materials, manufacturing techniques and validation processes.
• Conduct and lead system and subsystem testing, including laboratory, ground, and flight test events. Analyze test data to identify root-cause issues and draft recommendations for design modifications.
• Provide in-service engineering support for fleet EW and RF systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance support, and reliability/maintainability analysis.
• Evaluate system performance, reliability data, and failure histories to propose and implement significant design improvements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and technical specialists to drive project objectives and ensure mission success.
