About The Position

The RF/Power Senior Staff role within the IWSS Sensors and Effectors Integrated Engineering organization at Lockheed Martin involves leading the development and maturation of RF design throughout the program lifecycle. This position requires a strong technical background, with responsibilities including technical planning, system development, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex technical issues.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with the application of electromagnetics and RF theory.
  • RF board design and construction, including material selection.
  • Experience guiding development of technology from design to production, including development of the necessary RF design artifacts.
  • Experienced with RF analysis tools, such as ADS, HFSS, or equivalent.
  • T/R Module Design, with a focus on Power Amplifiers.
  • Experience leading and inspiring multidiscipline hardware development teams and managing cost and schedule.
  • Knowledge of analog circuits, design, and analysis, schematic capture and layout tools.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, Digital Volt Meters, Vector Network Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience developing advanced technical ideas and presenting them effectively to internal and external customers.
  • Experience with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical planning, system development and design, requirements allocation, detail trade studies, verification and validation, cost and risk, test ability, and manufacturability.
  • Support top level architecture design, mission planning, requirements decomposition, and traceability.
  • Lead development and maturation of RF design through the entire program lifecycle.
  • Interface with subject matter experts and providers of various subsystem products and technologies.
  • Provide RF manufacturing support including assembly and test.
  • Develop work instruction planning and manufacturing support, designing with manufacturability in mind.
  • Perform cascade analysis, modeling, simulation, troubleshooting, and testing of various RF subsystems, circuits, and components.
  • Develop and manage RF systems engineering program plans for cost and schedule as a self-sufficient RF Hardware Design Engineer.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, cross-Business Areas, and customers to communicate status and results effectively.
