As a Senior RF Engineer within Lockheed Martin Space, you will perform the following: Support multiple phases of RF product lifecycle including design, development, test, and deployment Engage with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to participate in design reviews and provide feedback/input on RF systems and hardware designs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and deployment of RF systems and hardware Example assignments include Design, test, and troubleshoot RF hardware systems, including prototype and deliverable hardware. Successful applicants typically possess 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline

Requirements

  • Experience in design of active and passive RF hardware, performing cascaded analyses, link and gain/loss budgets, and using simulation tools to evaluate hardware designs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas
  • RF performance simulation (ADS, AWR, SystemVue, or equivalent) and Full-Wave simulation experience (CST, HFSS, or equivalent)
  • RF test and troubleshooting experience
  • To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Qualified applicants must possess at minimum a currently Active Secret security clearance to be considered.
  • Selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, a government issued Top Secret for long term employment on this program.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with RF test software and tools
  • Experience with designing RF active and passive electronics
  • Experience with RF parts selection and evaluation
  • RF prototyping experience
  • PWB/PCB/PWA/CCA design, drawing generation, and drawing release experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of RF test equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generator, etc.)
  • Ability to design and plan for designs to experience flight environments (vibration, temperature, multipaction, corona)
  • RF design experience including knowledge of power amplifiers, microwave integrated circuit design and RF measurement techniques
  • Vendor interface experience, including evaluating vendor solutions
  • Vendor spec writing and procurement experience
  • Ability to obtain, and maintain, a Top Secret clearance
