About The Position

As a Junior RF Design Engineer, you will support the senior engineering team in the design, implementation, and optimization of wireless communication systems (5G, LTE). This is an entry-level role designed for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) planning and network deployment. You will work under the guidance of Senior Engineers to ensure our network meets strict performance and reliability standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE), Telecommunications, or a related technical field is required.
  • Experience: 0–2 years. Internship experience in telecommunications or RF coursework is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:Fundamental understanding of RF propagation (IXUS/RoofMaster), Electromagnetics, and wireless technologies (LTE/5G NR).
  • Familiarity with Excel (v-lookups, basic data analysis) and Google Earth Pro.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to master complex RF design software and stay current with evolving 5G standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and documentation to prevent network integration errors.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly report findings to senior staff and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset for troubleshooting basic connectivity and interference issues.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Executive Management, public groups clients and/or customers.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to RF planning software (Atoll, Planet) or post-processing tools is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design Support: Assist Senior Engineers in performing RF designs for 1st tier carriers, including initial search area issuance and candidate site assessments.
  • Tool Utilization: Learn and utilize industry-standard planning tools (Atoll, Fuze, and Google Earth Pro) to model RF propagation and coverage.
  • Documentation: Prepare and submit technical packages, including CIQs (Commissioning Information Questionnaires), E911 submissions, and COPs.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and support automation of data processing workflows using Python and scripting techniques. Utilize tools such as Tableau to create visualizations and present performance insights related to coverage and network optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with field technicians and construction teams to ensure antenna placement and equipment selection match the RF design intent.

  • Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis
