About The Position

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The Impact You’ll Make The RF Engineer designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic components, parts, or integrated circuits for electronic equipment, hardware systems, or electrical engineering applications. Responsibilities include determining design approaches and parameters, analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results. The engineer selects components and equipment based on specification analysis and reliability considerations, and may also review vendor capabilities to support product development. What You’ll Do Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering design team—including electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers—on the design and modification of custom and OEM embedded systems components. Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to ensure technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated. Collect and analyze pertinent material and data in preparation of data for presentation at design, project, and program reviews. Primarily responsible for the design, selection, testing, and documentation of RF delivery systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to KiloWatt ranges).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of related work experience; master’s degree with 8 years of experience; PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Must have experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network-, Impedance- and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
