Our program offers practical work experience in a business environment, with the opportunity to contribute and add value to the organization.   Opportunity Overview   We are currently looking for a Design Engineering Intern who will work closely with engineers in the RF Engineering Group. This is a position where you will be integrated within the design team, developing a new product that will be on the leading edge of testing the cellular and connectivity devices that are leaders in the market. Your role and responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • Interest in working with RF circuitry
  • Working towards a junior or senior year in BSEE or enrolled in an MSEE program
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to absorb, assimilate and synthesize information quickly will be invaluable.
  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented, hands-on, and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be available to work full time during summer break
  • Must be available to work onsite in the North Reading, MA location

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on lab experience with instrumentation including VNA and Spectrum Analyzer preferred.
  • Prior Teradyne Coop/Intern experience is a plus but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the design verification of HW in automated processes using equipment such as VNAs, Phase Noise Analyzers, Signal Analyzers and Generators
  • Develop debugging techniques to resolve issues with hardware in the lab
  • Partner with senior engineers to collect data and analyze results for margin to specifications
  • Build simulation models and evaluate prototypes as required by the product
