About The Position

The Rework Assembler performs thru-hole and SMT inspection and rework on electronic assemblies according to IPC-A-610 and/or in-house workmanship standards, and should be able to fulfill the following: Excellent inspection skills with a knack for finding problems. Competent at removing and installing discreet SMT parts down to 0201 size, fine pitch parts (PLCC, SOIC), leadless parts (BGA, DFN, QFN) Familiar with working with a stereo microscope / vision system. Familiar with using common hand tools for electronic assembly, as well as various types of rework equipment: soldering / vacuum desoldering station, hot air tools, BGA rework machine. Able to work from Assembly Drawings and Engineering Change Orders. Familiar with using a PC to access documentation and document work performed. Must be detail-oriented and be able to work with limited supervision. Assist production, as needed, in doing electronic assembly to meet production schedule. Responsible for following company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and ISO documentation.

  • IPC-610 and IPC-620 experience required

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, schematics, and work orders.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Experience working under a microscope
