Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. The CAD/Revit/BIM Facilities Designer will be responsible for the creation of construction documents and other design documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM systems. This role requires a highly skilled professional proficient in these tools, with a strong ability to produce detailed and accurate design documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CAD, Revit, and BIM systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
  • Strong understanding of construction document preparation and design documentation standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with advanced BIM and CAD technologies.
  • Previous experience in facilities design or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Create construction documents and other design documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure design alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and review design drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Utilize BIM systems to create detailed 3D models and coordinate multidisciplinary design elements.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers on best practices and design principles.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to inform design practices and strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, templates, and processes to enhance project efficiency and quality.
