About The Position
UNLV University Libraries seeks applications for an innovative and collaborative tenure-track/tenured faculty member to serve as the Data Librarian. Reporting to the Head, Scholarly Communication and Data Services (SCADS), the Data Librarian will join a collaborative and dynamic team dedicated to supporting scholarly and creative efforts at UNLV with an emphasis on making works open when possible. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a suite of programming, services, and resources on data management and data literacy to meet the needs of the UNLV community. They will provide consultations, instruction, and other coordinated programming to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and other UNLV researchers. We welcome early-career candidates and those looking to grow their knowledge related to the responsibilities of this position, particularly regarding data ethics and open data.
