About The Position

The position is for a qualified engineer to join the CODEX division at Nightwing, focusing on vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and tool development for complex systems. The role involves working collaboratively on-site at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH, contributing to critical cybersecurity and intelligence initiatives that support national security. The successful candidate will be part of a mission-focused team that leverages advanced technical skills to overcome challenges in the cybersecurity domain.

Requirements

  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience with vulnerability research and/or reverse engineering.
  • Proficiency with tools such as IDA, Ghidra, or BinaryNinja.
  • Familiarity with source management tools.
  • Knowledge of assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, Mips, etc.).
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years of RE/VR/CNO experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Python.
  • Experience utilizing full system emulation for research and analysis.
  • Embedded system analysis skills.
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) experience.
  • Fuzzer development experience.
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of cyberspace operations.
  • Experience with commercial and open source forensic analysis tools.
  • Hardware reverse engineering experience.
  • Experience creating custom forensic analysis tools.
