Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of industry experience preferred

  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Be on the dining room floor. Touch all tables, talk to guests, assist staff when needed - greet tables, buss tables, take orders, expedite food when necessary, make bar drinks.
  • Cover associates' 30 min breaks - all associates must clock out for a 30-minute break if they are working over 6 hours.
  • Manage the floor. Make cuts and send employees home based on business levels. Plan ahead for staffing levels based on reservations.
  • Communicate with team members in line-ups, one-on-ones, the communication board, etc. Hold line-ups and have team members sign off information provided.
  • Update payroll system daily for missing punches, tardies, and absences daily. Document team members for any excessive tardies or absenteeism.
  • Email all shift details to Director of Food and Beverage. This should include but not limited to: call-offs, tardies, business levels, comps, voids, associate issues, ticket times, etc.
  • Cover food and beverage shifts when necessary.
  • Be proactive in making revenue for the department.
  • Take care of department staff ex. give them time off when applicable, train them when needed, give them 30-minute breaks, uniforms, supplies, etc.
  • Ensure all beverage product is secure at all times.
  • Order liquor weekly based on par levels.
  • Count inventory at the end of the month.
  • Complete employee schedule and distribute to staff by 5pm on Thursdays. Schedule is to be approved by Director of Food and Beverage prior to distribution.
  • Hold a monthly meeting with the staff and provide a typed up agenda to be emailed out prior to meeting to Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Review server's check out report and ensure all accuracy on charges including in-house charges. In-house charges must have manager initials as well as reason why ticket was coded to the correct house account. Check other tickets for correct method of payment and correct tips.
  • Side work checklist are completed each shift by each outlet (bar, restaurant and beverage carts) and turned in.
  • Any additional tasks by Director of Food and Beverage, GM, or Nat Dir of F&B.
