About The Position
The Department of Revenue is searching for candidates to join as Revenue Tax Auditors with the Bureau of Audits, Pittsburgh Regional Office. This professional auditing role involves determining compliance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania tax laws and regulations. The position requires conducting fair, equitable, and efficient field audits of taxpayers, performing preliminary audit planning, and working at field audit sites. Responsibilities include communicating with taxpayers and their representatives, inspecting facilities, analyzing financial records, writing audit reports, and assisting supervisors in auditing assignments to gain experience and develop technical knowledge.
