About The Position

The Revenue Specialist for the Veterans Administration at EnableComp LLC serves as a crucial link between healthcare providers and the VA, ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. This role involves handling sensitive patient health information while maintaining strict confidentiality and security protocols. The specialist will analyze claims, gather necessary documentation, and follow up with payers to facilitate prompt reimbursements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-4+ years' experience in healthcare billing or collections.
  • 2+ years' client-facing/customer service experience.
  • 1+ years' experience with VA billing and collections required.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing.
  • Intermediate understanding of government and veteran benefit programs.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Experience with complex claims processing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate Veterans Administration (VA) claim payments using proprietary software and tools.
  • Research, request, and acquire pertinent medical records and supporting documentation for hospital claims.
  • Conduct timely follow-up with payers to ensure claims and documentation have been received for reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit Veterans Administration initial bill packets or appeal letters with necessary documentation to insurance companies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
