We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our ONEReg team as a Patient Outreach Specialist. In this vital role, you won't just be a part of the Registration team; you'll be at the heart of it, ensuring we provide exceptional service to our patients and partners every day. This position offers a hybrid schedule for teammates near one of our business offices. We also welcome applications from remote candidates who are not local. What You'll Get to Do: Be a Patient Advocate: Directly connect with patients via phone and letters to help them navigate and resolve insurance discrepancies, such as Coordination of Benefits (COB) updates, demographic mismatches, or missing policy information. Collaborate for Solutions: Work closely with patients, insurance payors, and DaVita facility teammates to solve complex insurance issues, sometimes facilitating three-way calls to ensure clarity and resolution. Make an Impact: Engage in active listening and be open to feedback from peers, leaders, and patients to help us all improve. Dive into special projects and research as needed, offering your unique skills to support new initiatives. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current or previous experience working in ROPS as a Revenue Specialist
  • Excellent phone skills and a comfort level with making calls to patients, facilities, and payors.
  • A solid understanding of internal Registration processes, Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs), and DaVita's policies and procedures.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and a knack for relationship management; you understand how your approach affects others and use empathy to build strong connections.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • A curious mind and a love for learning that inspires continuous improvement.
  • A strong commitment to accuracy, ensuring patient information is always handled with care.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment where every voice matters.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Revenue cycle experience, with a focus on Registration or Insurance Verification.
  • Familiarity with a variety of healthcare insurance payers.
  • Experience with systems like Reggie, Talkdesk, and various payor portals.
