Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the hospital or physician insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of the revenue cycle and underpaid accounts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional presence.
  • Ability to adapt to various client host systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with payors to resolve outstanding underpayments and ensure timely recovery.
  • Identify root causes of underpayments and collaborate on addressing them with the client team.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal insurance regulations and apply them to resolve issues.
  • Document all actions in the appropriate tracking systems accurately.
  • Provide feedback on trends and issues to management based on data analysis.
  • Analyze remittance data for billing opportunities and revenue optimization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
