The FPR Revenue Recognition Controller is a pivotal role within Intel's Finance Plan to Record (FPR) Tower, focusing on the design and implementation of enterprise-wide standard processes utilizing SAP S/4 capabilities. This position supports Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy by ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, particularly ASC 606, while overseeing the integration of new business initiatives and processes. The role involves collaboration across various departments to optimize financial processes and provide guidance on complex accounting issues related to revenue recognition.

  • Provide inputs to Revenue Recognition processes, Solution Design Decision, Security Roles, and Change Impacts.
  • Provide business requirements for IT to build and configure ERP capabilities balancing business needs and standard processes.
  • Create and maintain business partner relationships with other finance colleagues and cross-functional teams, such as Operations and Procurement, to provide financial guidance and drive efficiency.
  • Identify and drive process improvements impacting global stakeholders.
  • Provide US GAAP and/or IFRS technical accounting research, interpretation, and consultation on complex and non-routine transactions, primarily around revenue recognition.
  • Review technical accounting whitepapers and maintain or develop Intel's accounting policies, primarily around revenue recognition.
  • Communicate significant and unusual transactions via internal Corporate Reporting Dashboard.
  • Provide an impartial voice and consistent views on transactions across Intel.
  • Provide annual and ad hoc technical accounting training to various groups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting/auditing/finance
  • At least 4 years in public accounting and/or experience working on large multi-national transactions
