About The Position

This position supports revenue management's business intelligence and data acquisition across Hard Rock Hotels around the world. This data savvy role will acquire, design, develop, and maintain all business intelligence dashboards and data sources. The candidate must excel at critical thinking, problem-solving, scripting, visualization, and collaboration to succeed in this role. The position will interact with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and will directly contribute to critical business insights that will drive demand and optimize revenue.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years reporting and analytics experience.
  • Bachelors in finance, statistics, hospitality management, marketing, information management preferred, or similar.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred, specifically revenue management, operations, finance, or marketing.
  • Must be a self-starter, takes initiative, and thinks outside the box for solutions.
  • Strong Excel skills a must.

  • Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex formulas and calculations.
  • A team player with strong analytical, communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software, mainly Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent personal management skills; time management, meeting deadlines, effective communication and presentations skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python is strongly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across different departments, properties, and vendors to gather and analyze data.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to centralize hotel data sources into a single repository.
  • Design and implement custom tables and scripts using SQL and PYTHON to create efficient and effective data structures that support both retrospective and forward-looking analytics and reporting.
  • Analyze robust data sets from a variety of sources, including but not limited to hotel revenue, F&B, market, guest surveys, and other sources.
  • Work alongside database team for best practices, creating new tables, and aligning with corporate structure.
  • Create data-driven storylines of key measures through advanced visualizations.
  • Create effective dashboards with interactive elements for stakeholders to 'slice-and-dice' through the portfolio of properties and mounds of data.
  • Work alongside stakeholders to design dashboards for daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
  • Build and maintain dashboards using best practices for scale, speed, and granularity.
  • Work alongside Tableau administrators on overall data flows, transfer cadence, dimensionality, automation, and distribution.
  • Support Corporate Revenue Management with analyses and insights into hotel performance and market trends.
  • Support Corporate Marketing on offer performance and enterprise-wide hotel production.
  • Support Global Sales for enterprise-wide TIS and Partner production.
