About The Position

The Senior Manager, Accounting – Intercompany is responsible for overseeing all aspects of global intercompany accounting, transfer pricing partnering, and related close and compliance activities for a publicly traded organization. This role ensures accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and settlement of intercompany transactions; supports and improvises transfer pricing policies; and maintains strong accounting controls and SOX-compliant processes. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Tax, FP&A, Operations, Legal, and regional accounting teams, and will play a critical role in driving process excellence, systems optimization, and global consistency. Intercompany Accounting & Global Close Lead the end-to-end intercompany accounting process, including transaction recording, reconciliation, settlement, and elimination in consolidation. Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly close activities related to intercompany revenues, cost allocations, royalties, shared services, and other cross-entity transactions. Develop and maintain standardized intercompany procedures and service-level agreements (SLAs) across global entities. Review and analyze intercompany balances, investigate variances, and drive resolution of discrepancies with regional teams. Manage intercompany netting, settlement cycles, and foreign exchange implications. Transfer Pricing Execution & Compliance Partner with Global Tax to operationalize transfer pricing models, ensuring accurate and consistent execution in the accounting records. Review transfer pricing adjustments, true-ups, cost-sharing allocations, and profit margin analyses to ensure alignment with TP policies. Support transfer pricing documentation and audits by providing data, reconciliations, and financial analyses. Drive accuracy of transfer pricing–related entries during month-end and quarter-end close. SOX Compliance & Internal Controls Own the SOX control framework for intercompany transactions, transfer pricing accounting, and related financial reporting processes. Ensure all key controls are designed effectively, executed reliably, and well-documented. Partner with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely responses and successful audit outcomes. Continuously assess risks, implement process improvements, and strengthen the control environment. Process Improvement & Systems Management Lead initiatives to streamline and automate intercompany workflows, leveraging ERP systems, RPA tools, and reporting platforms. Collaborate with IT and Finance Systems teams to enhance intercompany and TP-related system configuration. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics to improve visibility and performance. Drive standardization and scalability across a growing global footprint. Leadership & Collaboration Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals across regions. Serve as the primary point of contact for intercompany and TP accounting inquiries. Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Operations, Legal, and international accounting teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a global, multi-entity public company environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of intercompany accounting, transfer pricing frameworks, and consolidation processes.
  • Experience managing SOX controls and working with auditors.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage teams.
