Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today. Perform complex coding and compliance reviews to ensure charge process and chargemasters are up to date and working appropriately. Work on special projects for the Revenue Integrity Department to comply with federal and state regulations as well as internal hospital policies.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
• Relevant years of work experience of 10+ years may be substituted for a B.S. degree.
• Five (5) to ten (10) years of chargemaster experience.
• Experience in training/educating and supervising others.
• Thorough experience with reimbursement methodologies for all payors.
• In-depth understanding of the function of the Chargemaster as well as revenue, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and micro computer applications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

• Consulting experience.
• Coding or nursing credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects within the department related to new regulations or changes in guiding policies.
• Assist Department Manager and other Management staff with research on coding and compliance regulations.
• Assist with onboarding new departments and or groups within the hospital organization.
• Assist with setting up policies, procedures, and charge sheets for the department as needed.
• Coordinate education sessions on accurate coding, compliance & charging process.
• Initiate audits as needed to monitor charge accuracy and compliance for all NSH entities.
• Act as a subject matter expert with key new services/projects.
• Help resolve larger issues that come up within specific departments Revenue Integrity supports.
