About The Position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst at UW Medicine plays a crucial role in supporting operational groups involved in Epic charging and billing across various departments. This position focuses on identifying revenue cycle improvement opportunities and ensuring accurate charge capture and reimbursement processes. The analyst will collaborate with multiple teams to enhance performance and resolve issues related to billing and coding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of Epic experience and experience providing training to clinical operations.
• At least 8-10 years' experience in the healthcare industry.
• Experience with ICD 10/HCPCS/CPT codes.
• Coding credentials such as CCS, COC, RHIT, RHIA or ability to obtain coding credentials within 12 months of hire.
• Understanding of hospital billing or reimbursement and charge capture operations.
• Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid.

Responsibilities

• Support operational groups involved in Epic charging and billing across clinics and departments.
• Identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities in collaboration with diverse teams from all UW Medicine entities.
• Monitor key metrics such as annual charge utilization, monthly revenue, denials, and late/missing charges.
• Review and educate on charge capture and reimbursement opportunities.
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting for charge capture and missing charge resolution.
• Collaborate with HIM, Coding, Epic Core Team, and Revenue Cycle teams to support performance improvement.
