Meridian Health Services is seeking a full-time, day-shift Revenue Cycle Technician in Muncie, Indiana . This role supports accurate, timely billing and assists both patients and staff. This position will be scheduled M-F 7 am -4 pm or 8am- 5 pm.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team-oriented, effective communicator
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Pre-employment drug screen, TB test, background check, and fingerprinting required.
• Vaccinations recommended.
• Compliance with current safety protocols is expected.

Nice To Haves

• ICD/CPT coding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and apply patient and third-party payments
• Scan documents and resolve payment discrepancies
• Handle credit card payments, credits, and account adjustments
• Manage payer aging and submit electronic/paper claims
• Verify demographics and insurance eligibility
• Monitor payment agreements and coordinate collections
• Provide financial counseling and review financial forms
• Contact clients to schedule payments
• Appeal denied claims and communicate with payers
