About The Position
Meridian Health Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Revenue Cycle Technician to join our team in Muncie, Indiana. This full-time position is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. As a Revenue Cycle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing various aspects of the revenue cycle. Your responsibilities will include collecting and applying payments from customers and third-party payers, documenting and scanning relevant financial information, and resolving payment discrepancies. You will also process credit card payments and credits, make necessary adjustments to accounts, and manage payer aging reports. In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for submitting claims to third-party payers, verifying patient demographics and insurance eligibility, and monitoring monthly payment agreements. Financial counseling will also be part of your duties, as you will review financial forms and waivers, call clients to schedule payments, and appeal denied claims through both paper and phone communications. Your ability to communicate effectively with third-party payers will be essential in this role, as will your attention to detail and organizational skills. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a team environment and can work well with a diverse group of individuals. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and while a high school diploma or GED is mandatory, previous experience with ICD and CPT codes is preferred.
