About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Specialist provides the necessary functions to bill, collect, analyze, and adjudicate billing and collection functions for all clinical services. The position executes and performs programs to ensure efficient operations of the SHCG Revenue Cycle program in order to generate sufficient cash flow to support SHCG operations and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience dealing with various customer groups, including doctors.
• Experience with medical billing, including the authorization process, benefit plans, denials, and billing follow up.
• Ability to handle confidential material; be detail oriented; and follow through on multiple items.
• Must be enthusiastic, able to multi-task and master the efficient use of multiple technological systems.
• A cooperative spirit and great customer service skills are essential.
• Knowledge of medical billing or prior company experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides the necessary functions to bill, collect, analyze, and adjudicate billing and collection functions for all clinical services.
• Executes and performs programs to ensure efficient operations of the SHCG Revenue Cycle program.
• Generates sufficient cash flow to support SHCG operations and strategic initiatives.
• Bills and collects for all third party insurance payers adjustment functions.
• Adjudicates, identifies, analyzes, reduces, and resolves revenue enhancement.
• Works with external physician groups and insurance companies or third party brokers.
• Collaborates with SHCG CCR and PCR staff.
