About The Position

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator 3. The dental cllinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients and students. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into eleven divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Clinic Receptionist functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the College of Dentistry. Overall responsibilities include performing patient scheduling in person and over the phone; taking incoming patient calls, patient check-in, assists and accurately registers patients at busy registration desk windows; assisting with backup coverage as needed, verifying forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with and disseminating information to the patient care team. Answers questions and provides accurate information about services and College information; works in a team environment supporting and providing backup coverage as necessary; maintains a high degree of professionalism with all patients and teammates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service or communications, including analyzing & interpreting information
  • experience in information research & analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred, plus 4 years’ experience in scheduling patient appointments accurately in a medical or dental setting
  • working knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software
  • very detailed oriented
