The Revenue Cycle Representative II is part of the Patient Access Department and is a full-time role working approximately 80 hours per two-week pay period. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. The Revenue Cycle Representative II serves as a welcoming first point of contact for patients while supporting registration, admissions, and revenue cycle processes. This role ensures accurate patient information, efficient workflow, and a positive patient experience through strong communication, organization, and customer service. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Above average typing and computer skills required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in high-stress situations
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage frequent interruptions and competing demands
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes preferred
  • Experience with EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming presence in the registration area, providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors
  • Interview patients upon admission and accurately enter required demographic and insurance information into the system
  • Obtain necessary patient documentation and scan items such as ID cards, insurance cards, consent forms, and advance directives
  • Maintain departmental logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and other patient access functions as assigned
  • Answer telephones and manage incoming messages and requests professionally and efficiently
  • Assist patients with financial assistance applications, payment plans, and posting payments to patient accounts
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while ensuring accuracy and quality of work
  • Collaborate with team members to support efficient department operations and patient flow
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
