About The Position

As the Revenue Cycle Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the billing department, ensuring timely and accurate claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. In addition, you'll manage the billing staff and serve as the key link between the billing team and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive revenue cycle/billing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to billing staff including leads and/or supervisors, fostering growth while ensuring alignment with Boulder RCM metrics, quality, and compliance standards
  • Develop and implement billing policies, procedures, and performance metrics (KPIs) in conjunction with RCM and Finance leadership
  • Oversee claim submissions, payment posting, adjustments, and denial resolution workflows
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA regulations, and internal policies
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership to identify trends, improve processes, and optimize reimbursement
  • Provide regular reporting on billing performance, denials, collections, and other key indicators to senior leadership
  • Manage departmental staffing, including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and vendor management as needed
  • Partner with finance, clinical, and compliance teams to resolve issues impacting billing and revenue
