About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Medical Billing - Attorney Involvement Specialist - Call Center is responsible for providing empathetic and professional customer service in an active call center environment while working directly with an individual's legal counsel or representative to resolve outstanding balances. This position is also responsible for researching and filing open probate/estate claims and negotiating settlements with legal representation.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year working in a call center environment
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Must possess empathic and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level

• Healthcare/Revenue Cycle billing experience
• Knowledge of health care billing compliance regulations (basic)
• Knowledge and understanding of payor Explanation of Benefit (basic)
• Collections experience

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls assisting customers with billing inquiries
• Make outbound calls to validate active insurance coverage
• Collect outstanding balances
• Document billing activity accurately
