Hospice Revenue Cycle Manager A compassionate and dedicated jobseeker is needed for the Hospice Revenue Cycle Manager role with our company! As a Hospice Revenue Cycle Manager, you will be accountable for management of all staff and revenue cycle functions.

  • Consistently manage the outstanding A/R in order to achieve all established goals related to A/R days, cash collections and staff productivity, while minimizing denials, bad debt write-offs, etc.
  • Remains knowledgeable and current on all managed care, Medicare, Medicaid and other payer regulations that impact billing activities.
  • Review and analyze multiple reports on an ongoing basis including but not limited to, charge reports, daily collection logs, rejection reports and A/R aging reports.
  • Monitor/audit all revenue cycle functions.
  • Develops relationships with third-party payers at a sufficiently high level in order to facilitate the resolution of outstanding A/R issues/concerns.
  • Diagnose issues and reinforce any necessary education in all revenue cycle areas.
  • Monitor and update current billing rates for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Community rates.
  • Audit payments from all third-party payers to ensure compliance with regulations/contracts.
  • Monitor and maintain contracts with all nursing facilities (and any other facility the organization conducts business with), and audit related payment activity.
  • Supervise billing and collections staff to achieve monthly goals.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, coaching and developing staff.
  • Ensure that the staff is appropriately cross trained in all aspects of the billing and collection processes, as well as the EMR/Billing systems being utilized.
  • Responsible for the timely resolution of open accounts, including troubleshooting issues that may have surfaced.
  • Support CFO with attendance at various trade organizations including but not limited to NAHC and the Homecare and Hospice Association of New Jersey.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate monthly revenue cycle close in coordination with the Finance monthly financial statements close timelines.
  • Serve as Finance liaison with IT, EMR vendor and all other third-party vendors, responsible for oversight related to installations and upgrades, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory and/or management experience within a comparable healthcare setting or significant comparable work experience.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years healthcare revenue cycle experience, including hands-on expertise with patient accounting system software and related reporting.
  • Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work to ensure productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
  • Working knowledge of the Netsmart (myUnity) and MicroMD systems preferred.
  • Associates or better in Accounting.
