About The Position

Hiring an experienced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations consultant to represent the RCM function throughout a project. The consultant will ensure future-state workflows, processes, and system design support the organization’s financial and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Strong background in home health revenue cycle operations, including billing, claims, and workflow requirements specific to home health agencies.
  • Proven experience supporting or advising on EHR implementations or conversions in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative project environment with intake, clinical operations, RCM, finance, and accounting teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence workflow design and guide operational decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to travel to Dallas/Houston as required. ( 50% remote, 50% travel)
  • Deep home health billing expertise is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the RCM representative on the EHR implementation project team, ensuring all revenue cycle considerations are incorporated into design decisions.
  • Evaluate current-state home health billing workflows and translate them into optimized future-state workflows aligned with industry best practices.
  • Partner closely with intake, clinical operations, RCM staff, and finance teams to gather requirements and validate design elements.
  • Advise on revenue cycle best practices during system selection, configuration, and workflow mapping.
  • Support change management activities, helping the organization understand implications to billing, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies related to revenue cycle activities during the conversion and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure the future-state process design supports compliance, operational efficiency, accurate billing, and clean claims.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and readiness activities to ensure RCM processes are fully supported in the new system.
