About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst will play a crucial role in the healthcare system's financial operations by analyzing patient accounts, evaluating reimbursement opportunities, and resolving underpayments. This position requires a strong understanding of hospital billing and payer systems, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in hospital billing, resolution, and revenue cycle management.
• Strong knowledge of payer systems including Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial payers.
• Organized and analytical self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to document work completed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Patient Accounting system and payer portals to research accounts in the work queue.
• Review opportunities created and evaluate the calculation of expected reimbursement.
• Determine if opportunities should be pursued with payers and identify actions required to resolve underpayments.
• Document accounts to provide information and details to support appeal and resolution efforts.
• Diagnose and understand the causes of underpayments and suggest preventive measures.
• Meet required benchmarks for production, accuracy, and efficiency.
