Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related field is required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for success in this role.

A proactive mindset, with the initiative and leadership to drive projects and objectives forward, is highly valued.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare experience working with data from various sources including but not limited to Revenue Cycle, Patient Accounting, Cost Accounting, Decision Support, and Managed Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Examine hospital and physician practice data to identify trends, discrepancies, and revenue opportunities.
Model expected reimbursement for every encounter, comparing expected and actual reimbursement to guide financial forecasting.
Routinely prepare reports for senior leadership around net revenue, denial trends, and payor mix analysis.
Investigate denials, rejections, and write-offs; propose actionable solutions.
Collaborate with chargemaster, patient accounting, managed care, coding, and clinical teams to resolve issues affecting claim accuracy to minimize lost revenue.
Design reports that communicate performance, identify issues, and contribute to better management decisions.
Extract and analyze data from decision support and revenue cycle systems as needed.
Proactively manage timelines for projects.
Recognize and understand the flow of data and impact from upstream and downstream systems.
Maintains professional growth and development by engaging in continuing education, attending seminars, and affiliating with professional organizations to remain informed about industry trends.
Audit data for accuracy and resolve anomalies to ensure reliable reporting.
