The Revenue Analyst plays a critical role in supporting accurate, sustainable revenue performance across a growing, multi-site healthcare organization. This role partners closely with Revenue Cycle, Clinical Documentation & Coding, Accounting, and Operations to deliver insights that directly influence financial results and operational effectiveness. Reporting to the Regional Director of Finance, the Revenue Analyst will analyze revenue trends, investigate variances, and develop reporting and process improvements that strengthen billing accuracy and profitability. This is a highly visible role offering meaningful cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to make a measurable impact on revenue integrity and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, operational finance, revenue cycle, medical office operations, billing, coding, or related analytical roles.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience using SQL and working with relational data tables.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue, billing, and clinical operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate revenue variances and partner with finance to explain monthly revenue performance.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and metrics related to revenue and billing.
  • Perform data mining and research to support financial analyses and leadership initiatives.
  • Serve as a key finance partner for Operational Finance leaders, Accounting, and Clinical Documentation & Utilization leadership.
  • Lead monthly revenue and financial performance reviews, clearly communicating drivers, trends, and key metrics.
  • Evaluate existing revenue processes and recommend corrective actions and SOPs to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute action plans that positively impact profitability and financial performance.
  • Support finance leadership with cross-functional projects and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Design and implement new reporting focused on clinical operations with the goal of improving revenue generation.
